On Tuesday Continental played host to Wayne Trace in Girls Basketball non league action. The night started out great for the Pirates as they put in 21 points in the first quarter to the Raiders 10. The second quarter was all Raiders as they matched the Pirates first quarter total of 21 but only gave up a single free throw. Raiders 31, Pirates 22 at half. The Pirate offense got back on track in the second half as they put in 9 in the third quarter while giving up 14 to make it Raider 45. Pirates 31 after three. The Raiders outscored the Pirates by 3 in the fourth for a final tally of Raiders 54, Pirates 37.
Alex Hoeffel led the Pirates with 13 points while Amber Logan put in 10. Addyson Armey had 8 points, Kaitlyn Alvarado 4, and Brooke Bradford 2. The Pirates did not hit a 3 point shot while the Raiders put in 5.
Continental falls to 3-16 and will travel to Patrick Henry on Saturday. Wayne Trace improves to 18-2.
The game was All A’s recognition night. Congrats to all the student who have excelled so far.
