Christopher M. Potts Memorial Scholarship 2017 Recipients

The committee for the Christopher M. Potts Memorial Scholarship has chosen Jaylen Armey from Continental High School and Adam von der Embse from Kalida High School as the 2017 recipients of this $2000 college scholarship.

The Christopher M. Potts Memorial Scholarship was established out of love and respect for Chris Potts, a 1997 Continental High School graduate who died in an automobile accident on June 28th, 1997. Chris inspired and brought forth the best in everyone he knew. His friends and family hope to continue the touching of lives by this fine young man through this scholarship which is awarded annually to one CHS and KHS senior who demonstrate high moral character, strong academic commitment and leadership skills that Chris exemplified.

Jaylen a senior at Continental High School, is the daughter of Joshua and Jaime Armey. Jaylen plans to attend The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and major in Bio-Medical Engineering and Pre-Med. Adam, a senior at Kalida High School, is the son of Greg and Kelly von der Embse. Adam has chosen to attend Ohio Dominican University to pursue a degree in Psychology.
