    Continental Lady Pirate Alex Hoeffel has been named to the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Division III Second Team All State. This is the second straight year that Hoeffel has been named to the Second Team. A Sophomore Forward for the Pirate, Hoeffel unofficially scored 39 goals this year and has 85 for her career. She currently stands second in the Pirate career goals scored list. Alex started the season strong by scoring a school record 6 goals in the opening game against Paulding.     Continental finished the 2017 season with one of the best records in Volleyball history at Continental as they won 16 games and lost 7. At one point the Pirates had an 11-1 streak. Continental ended up 4th seed in the Ottawa-Glandorf sectional and were defeated in the sectional final by Lima Central Catholic 3-0.
