    Eighth graders from area schools got to take a peek at what the future might look like in seventeen different occupations, as they visited the career technical labs at Vantage recently. The eighth graders are seeing some new and exciting extras in the labs this year. In the Construction Equipment Technology program, they’re able to check out the equipment as well as surveying, site layout, masonry and concrete installation.     The Continental Music Boosters has set up an Amazon Smile account!! The Pirate Band is proudly growing in numbers and will soon not have enough uniforms to suit all the kids. The average lifespan of a marching band uniform is six to eight years. With diligent care the Continental Pirate Band’s uniforms have exceeded their life expectancy and are 20 plus years old. While the uniforms look nice from a distance, many are beyond repair with worn, frayed fabric, broken zippers, and missing buttons. The approximate cost of each uniform is $400.00-$450.00.     The regular monthly meeting for the Continental School Board was held at 7:30 p.m. on October 17, 2017 in the administrative office.
