    Continental Library’s Storytime will meet again beginning Monday, October 20 at 6:30pm after a brief break last week for Columbus Day. This early evening event offers age-appropriate stories and crafts for the little ones. Saturday, October 25th, the Putnam County District Library will be hosting its annual Autumn Harvest of Crafts Show from 9am – 3pm at the Ottawa Glandorf High School. There will be a vast variety of vendors and lunch will also be available.

    There were many who came out last Saturday (10/4) to help the Continental Library celebrate its 10th anniversary at its East Sugar Street location. Although it was cold outside, there were horse & buggy rides, a petting pen, and a bounce house. Inside, the children enjoyed face painting, crafts, and hot dogs & chips and more. Ten years ago, the opportunity to purchase the church building was a tremendous boost to the community group which had formed with the intent for Continental to have a bigger, better library than its then current location above the Town Hall.     Continental Library Celebrates 10th Anniversary

    Join the celebration at the Continental Library on Saturday, October 4, 11:00am-1:00pm. It was 10 years ago that a dream came true and Continental’s small community library above the town hall moved to its own beautiful location on South 6th Street. To celebrate there will be horse and buggy rides, live poultry display and petting of baby chicks, face painting and children activities, a book sale and refreshments. (CCLI) met in the Library’s Community Room on Monday evening, July 14th to plan a 10 Year Celebration in honor of the Library moving into its location at 301 South Sixth Street in Continental (the former Free Methodist Church).
