On Tuesday Continental High Girls Basketball team traveled to Columbus Grove to open up the Putnam County League season. The Bulldogs hit the baskets early and often as the took a 22-11 lead after 1. A 3 point advantage by the Bulldogs in the second quarter made it 42-25 Bulldogs at half. It was all Dogs in the third as they put in 21 to the Pirates 5. Columbus Grove 63, Continental 30. The fourth quarter went the Pirates way but the Bulldogs won the night 66-40.
Addyson Armey led the Pirates with 11 points while Kaitlyn Alvarado and Alex Hoeffel both scored 6. Amber Logan and Brooke Bradford had 4 points each while Maddie Burke, Kerri Prowant, Madi Sharp, Catelyn Etter all had 2 points. Armey and Hoeffel both put in a 3 pointer.
Continental falls to 0-3 (0-1 PCL) and will travel to Tinora Thursday night for a non-league game. Columbus Grove improves to 1-3 (1-0 PCL). Columbus Grove took the Junior Varsity game 30-13.
