American Legion Post 541 Holds Annual Membership Ball

The Continental American Legion Post 541 held their 3rd annual Membership Ball on Saturday, February 10. The evening program honored our local service men and women, past and present and recognized the years of service and membership to the local Legion. Highlights of the evening included viewing the 2017 Veteran’s Day video produced by the Multi-media classes at Continental High School (veterans – if you have not submitted your service photo for this, please do so it can be added to future presentations). Among others recognized for their years of membership, Bernie Houck received a 60 year Legion Auxiliary pin and Fred Verhoff was recognized for 70 years of Legion membership having served as Commander of Post 541 in 1959. The youngest Sons of American Legion present was Andrew Hoeffel who received his 10 membership pin. The evening program ended with a sincere thank you to all those who are active in the Legion and to our great community who supports the Legion programs and events.
