About Us

This website was born with idea of continuing the legacy of a local newspaper which for years was provided to our community by Nyle and Helen Statler. Continental was very blessed and fortunate to have a weekly means of sharing community news and events. Our hope for this website is to have a one-stop spot on the worldwide web that is for all things “Continental” be it legion dinners, school events, obituaries, births, weddings, news items, garage sales, church services, etc, etc. We invite you to help us share the local news and events by not only making this website a favorite that you visit often but that our readers will also be our reporters and click the “Contact Us” button to supply articles to fill our little e-newspaper. We welcome good quality pictures and stories (at editors discretion) of local news, lifestyle, sporting, and historical events. Let’s celebrate and support our local community – Go Continental!

Looking for assistance and direction. I would like to provide a news article but do not know how to go about doing so. Would like to send by email a photo and a short write-up. My parents lived in Continental and dad was a pastor at the Methodist church. Looking foward to hearing how to submit information.
